Thornapple Fellows Fall 2023

TRC’s Fellows program is a semester-long, part-time immersion for graduate students to get hands-on experience with startups and early-stage investing

Currently Accepting Applications

TRC is recruiting its 2023 Fall Class of Fellows from universities across the country. The Fellows program is meant to give graduate students hands-on experience in the venture capital industry and expose them to the multifaceted work of early-stage investing and working with startups. We are looking for motivated, self-starting, driven graduate students with a strong interest in technology and investing.

Each fellow will work directly on operational projects with a TRC portfolio company. This is an opportunity to have a tangible impact on our startups' growth trajectories and partner with the executive teams. These projects can include monetizing data, strategic growth plans, financial modeling, business development, marketing, and more. Opportunity to interact with company CEOs and executive teams. Fellows help drive value from the bottom up. In addition, fellows will also get exposure to the TRC investment team and will be able to evaluate live deals as well. Finally, there is the opportunity for publication with Fellows publishing a short article about a topic they became a "local expert" in on our blog at the end of the program.

Besides work, the Fellows program is designed to be enriching and provide lots of other opportunities to students. We have previously hosted speaker series with our portfolio company executives where students can hear from their experiences, arranged catchups with our investment team and other Fellows for networking, and have had an in-person event with our team and the Fellows to conclude the program!

We will be evaluating applications on a rolling basis and encourage applications by mid-September.
